December round-up

December has been a very short month for me, I simply didn’t notice where it went. This month I received so many gifts that I already posted about two book hauls (here and here) and there’s one more post coming about my Christmas book haul. It is fantastic to have birthday in December 🙂

I also managed to get a bit of a cold, which doesn’t happen very often to me, so I don’t take it too well (I’d say I go through a female version of man flu, i.e. a woman flu). This combined with extended birthday celebrations and a super-hectic time at work didn’t leave me much brain space to read. Surprisingly this month it wasn’t about time, it was about focus, I just couldn’t find anything to read that would hold my attention for longer than few pages, so at some point I gave up and turned to watching movies. Sometimes we all need a break. Hence not many books read, but still an interesting selection, good mix of fiction and nonfiction. During Christmas time I started reading some crime fiction in German that I got from my friend, the beginnings were not easy, but I persevere.

How was your December? Did you read anything special to close the year?
