#BBAW – Day 3

Book Blogger Appreciation Week is hosted by The Estella Society. I chickened out and didn’t participate in Day 2 interview, but here I’m back for Day 3.

What have you read and loved because of a fellow blogger?

Tough one, I joined the blogging community recently and my fellow bloggers for now keep on adding to my TBR list. As I am on book buying ban I plough through books I already had.

Here are some books I have high hopes for because of my fellow bloggers reviews:

Americanah – Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie – here are the reviews that convinced me to push this book to the top of my TBR and I’m reading it now: Worn Corners, Hard Book Habit

We Have Always Lived in the Castle – Shirley Jackson – wonderfully reviewed by Lady Fancifull and Shoshi’s Book Blog

The Vegetarian – Han Kang – reviewed by Savidge Reads and outofthebooks89

I am so glad you are reading ‘Americanah’ now, Jo. I love Adichie, and I love that book. I hope you like it too. Happy reading!

And, we are destined to be book-pals, I suppose. We both love ‘We Have Always Lived in the Castle.’ 🙂 What a gorgeous atmospheric novel that is!

      1. It’s great. I love the fact that it makes me think and still is a pleasure to read, I really have to force myself to stop when I get to work. Over the last 2 days I had lunch on my own to keep on reading.

I hope you enjoy ‘Americanah’, I’m still feeling the fallout of it’s splendour and power. I keep reading persuasive reviews of Han Kang’s ‘The Vegetarian’ too. I can’t wait to get a copy! 🙂

  3. What a selection! Thank you for mentioning my review of ‘We Have Always Lived in the Castle’. I also loved ‘The Vegetarian,’ which joined the Jackson novel as one of my top reads of 2015. Currently finishing ‘Americanah’ – another fantastic read, I can’t wait to read your views.
