October round-up

Welcome to my late, short and sweet October round-up. October has been a slow month for reading, actually I think the slowest this year. I only finished three books. Suddenly there were so many things eating up my time that the only time I had left for reading has been commute to work and I always considered myself lucky, because my commute is very short (15min), but I discovered it is not always an advantage.

I mentioned in this post what is eating my time, so I won’t repeat myself. I think it’s just a phase and things will get back into balance in November, as days grow significantly shorter and there seems to be less distractions. Only now it’s time to start thinking about Christmas shopping!

What bookish gifts would you like to receive? What are you giving your loved ones?

I am November is going to be amazing for all of us, Jo. Although we don’t celebrate Christmas in my family, it doesn’t hurt much to receive/give gifts. 😉 I love receiving socks, colouring books, stationeries, gifts for my dog, and of course, books. 🙂

  2. I already feel my reading ability is much better this month than last for whatever reason.

I’m probably going to give my husband a cookbook for Christmas – he’s a real food/cooking geek, and he likes cookbooks that have a lot of science/technical stuff in them. There’s one that’s caught my eye called Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat by Samin Nosrat.

    1. I feel like October has been this border month when I was still trying to deny autumn, in November I’m done denying and my mind is more at peace and ready to read.
The cookbook for tour husband sounds great! Do you get to pick and chose what you’d like him to cook?
