November round-up

November was a weird month. I read a lot more than in October, mostly to escape what was happening in my family, for the first time in a while I actually consciously searched for an escape in books. As always reliable friends they helped me, even if my reading was less patient than usually and my judgements more harsh, books were there for me.

Probably it is down to my harsh judgements that not a single book blew me away this month. I liked a lot of them, but I don’t htink I was in a frame of minds to let myself completely immerse, even though I tried, which made it more difficult to connect with the characters. On the other hand I cannot say I really disliked any single one of those books, so it was a relatively decent reading month with a good variety of content, I’ve had some crime fiction, some dystopian, some family drama and some non-ficiton.

How was your November? Are you gearing up to prepare your end of year lists?
